Hi!! Today instead of going to regular school as anyone would expect us to do, we went on a retreat but not an Argentinian retreat, this wasn't about Religion and that kind of stuff, it was about knowing the guy you were next to and start trusting in him.
At first we made an activity about trusting your companion because you were blindfolded and he had to guide you throughout the woods, try not to hit the trees, etc. I was paired to an American named Alex, he was kind of cool but he was pretty arrogant 'cause he is like THE QUARTERBACK of the class, you know what I mean jaja. Fortunately, I didn't crushed against any trees or something.
Then,we had do a puzzle kind activity where I was tied both of my wrists and my partner, Gervi de Zabaleta, was tied also but we were kind of stuck together and had to make our way to free us from each other. This was fun because we couldn't get rid of each other and when we were about to get unleashed my bracelete of "No stress Be Relax" got mixed up with the ropes and we couldn't free, a pity jaja!!! In the end, we were explained that we need to have some help because we could only manage this situation, as the ones in real life which we think they are impossible, if someone who had past a similar moment helps us, like in the activity (we had an idea of how to do it but we needed help anyway), so the message was to hear older people that they might have past a difficult situation as the one you were passing by at that time.
After that, the retreat wasn't so good at all but I met some girls and boys who were really nice to me so, in the end, it also helped to socialize with Americans, which is kind of why we are here and to learn about them.
The only annoying moment of the day was when I got home and Kate asked me to translate an English letter to Spanish for her Spanish homework and when I started copying it for her, she just didn't care and went away to do something else. So I got kind of upset but I could handle it.
To sum up, I had a great day knowing new good people and getting some useful advice, although it may have been given to me a thousand times and I didn't hear it.
