Now, I'd love to say that I'll be bringing home some souvenirs for people. Anyhoo, Mum is geared up for some shopping but I'm feeling a little on the sleepy side and would rather walk around and soak up the atmosphere of this busy city. I find comfort in speed and fast paced lifestyle. It's relaxing.
Well, how about this... it's lunch time and we're in McDonald's again. The staff are curiously slow, as in dawdling from one spot to another. The patrons who come in are even more curious. I don't want much for lunch. I'm a little hungry and would love a cheeseburger so I order a cheeseburger, the special two hot apple pies for $1 (one for Mum, one for me), a Coke and a water. I don't receive the water so I have to remind the girl to grab one. I sit down at the table and find I also have two cheeseburgers. I am not losing my not-so-tiny tummy. It's crazy that all of this came to just $6.88. There's lots of crazy in this city.
Back at the hotel we watch the staff having photos taken out the front. It looks like they're making a Toyota advertisement, as they're being asked to jump high when the photo is being shot. They truly are very happy and welcoming people and I would recommend this hotel because of them. Just then, I run into someone from work! It's a surprise who it is. I think it may even be more of a surprise why he is here! Mum and I grab a hot chocolate and cookie and head into the hotel's restaurant. All of the staff are sitting there and we'd like to join them. They look taken aback that we're joining them but they ease up when we start talking to them. All is good!
We go back to the room and pack our clothes for tomorrow.
